MsSuzie helps students who are having a hard time with school. It finds tutors from around the world and matches them to the students who need them, so a student stuck on a subject can get real help from someone who knows it well.
I led the AI work. My job was to find the spots where AI actually helped, like matching the right tutor to the right student, and build that instead of adding AI for show. I chose the models, built the features around them, and tuned them until they were good enough to ship.
The lesson I took from it is that the model is the easy part. Making it feel useful and reliable to a real student is the actual work.
